  1. I agree with Price 100%…. 10000000%. Players have to play and pitchers need the innings under the belt to gain that arm strength. As a pitcher myself who pitched through college I know personally how difficult it is to be shut down only to come back months later to start up again. He has to continue to play and only stop unless he needs to stop or has an injury. No other reason not to. Most pitcher injuries are fluke or wear and tear injuries and they are going to happen whether a pitcher is shut down or not so no reason, at all, to sideline him.
